Jenna's 1st Birthday

We had to delay celebrating Jenna's 1st birthday because Cole was working out of town last month. We had a little combined party for Jenna and her cousin, Brynlee, on the 7th of July. Almost all of our family made it and we had a lot of fun celebrating our two sweet girls. I was kind of surprised at how shy Jenna was about eating her cake. At home she just digs in and will eat straight from the bowl. I guess she's a little apprehensive when there are so many people watching. Brook was such a good little helper. She helped Jenna open her presents and has helped her "share" the toys she got for her birthday.

Playing at the Park

We went to the park to watch the fireworks this year and Brook had so much fun. She played soccer, blew bubbles, had a bubble fight with her dad and uncle Camron, and played with her cousin, Lexi. Jenna loved being able to wander around the park. We had plenty of room and weren't crowded by anyone else at the park. It was a lot of fun and Brook said she can't wait til next time.

1st Ferris Wheel Ride

Brook went on the ferris wheel for the 1st time this year. Grandpa Dan took her on the ride and she was so excited. She was giggling and just had a great time. She told me she could see the whole world while she was on the ferris wheel.

Zoo

We spent a few days in Roberts with Cole's folks over the 4th and took the girls to the zoo in Idaho Falls. Brook and Jenna both had so much fun. It was nice to be able to go as a family and for the girls to spend some time with their cousin, Lexi.

In other news...

Cole PASSED his Journeyman's Exam. He is just one step away from being a full fledged Journeyman Lineman. I could not be more proud of him and all that he does and sacrifices for our family. I am so grateful that we have passed this milestone in our lives and can get ready to prepare for the next one. Congratulations honey!!!

Kids Fair

Grandma Casey invited us up this past weekend to attend the Kids Fair in Idaho Falls. The big draw for Brook was pictures with Dora and Diego and a mini petting zoo. Brook and Jenna were both so good and I'm grateful because it was complete chaos in that building. Jenna was especially good considering she had a double ear infection and that we waited in line to see Dora for 2 hours. But the wait was worth it, Brook was so happy and I would do anything to see that smile on her face. Brook loved playing on the jumper and petting the chicks and bunnies. Thank you Grandma Casey for a fun day.

10 months

Jenna has hit the 10 month mark it seems way too fast. She is such a happy baby. Jenna loves to play with Brook, take baths, and eat. She is crawling and pulling herself up to stand and walk across the couch. I can't believe how quickly the time has gone. She says mama, dada, nana, papa, and bobba. She has 2 teeth, 1 on the bottom and 1 on the top and another top tooth that keeps playing peek-a-boo.

Easter

We had a busy Easter weekend this year. Saturday was the cousin egg hunt, Uncle Kyle's birthday, and just a really busy day it seemed. We didn't color eggs until almost 11:00 that night. This year we didn't do very many eggs due to the fact that they all kept breaking, but Brook was able to color about a dozen or so. I didn't get any pictures of Easter morning but Cole did get a quick picture of the girls in their Easter dresses.

Cousin Egg Hunt

Natalie and Brandon put on a cousin egg hunt this year the Saturday before Easter. All of the cousins were able to make it except for Courtney and Andrea's kids and they were definately missed. Brook, Mya, and Hallie all went hunting for eggs together and ran in a little pack. They would each pick up an egg put it in one of the baskets and take turns until they found all of the eggs. It was so fun to watch them share and be so excited to find an egg for their little cousins. Brook loved getting all the treats and little prizes. Thank you so much to the Roundy's for such a fun time!
