Cole and I got married in September of 2006. Currently he is working for Mountain States Lineman Apprenticeship and we are kind of in limbo as far as a permanant residence goes. I am a homemaker and mom to our beautiful girls, Brooklyn and Jenna. We enjoy spending time together and being outdoors.
We took Brook to Hogle Zoo this past weekend to try and get in one last fun outing before the baby comes. She loved the zoo so much and told us she loved every animal she looked at. Hogle Zoo is also doing "Zoorassic Park" right now and they have dinosaurs throughout the park that move, growl and spray water at you. She loved all of the dinosaurs and even pointed out the "sharp tooth". We had so much fun and it was so nice to spend some quality family time.
Baby #2, since we can't decide on a name for her, has been measuring big the last few visits I've had at the doctor. So he did an ultrasound on Wednesday to see how big she was getting. She is now weighing in at approximately 5 lbs and 4 oz, so if I make it to my due date she will be between 8 and 9 pounds. I'm hoping for her to come a little early, but will be happy no matter what. Here is the best picture they could get of her. She was hiding her little face. I did get a glimpse of her though before he could freeze the image to print it off and she's pretty cute in my book.
Today was the first sunny day that we have had while Cole was at home. It was short lived though because he headed back to Colorado today. He did get to play outside with Brook for a little bit. She rode her bike and chased bubbles and had so much fun. She even went for a ride in the new stroller after Cole had left.
There is something about seeing all of the little girls at church in their new Easter Dresses. We gave Brook her dress on Easter Day cause she didn't have any dresses that fit, and she received the rest of her "Easter" this weekend. Brook didn't love her dress so much. She said it was too tight and didn't like that it tied in the back. I can assure you it wasn't too tight, but it was absolutely adorable on my little Brooklyn.
We celebrated our Easter a week late. Cole was out of town and it just wouldn't have been the same without him there. We had such a great weekend together. We went to Willow Park, sorry no pics, out to dinner and colored eggs. Brook was more interested in the stickers this year than the actual coloring of the eggs. But she still had a lot of fun.
Brook woke up and was pretty excited to see what the Easter Bunny had brought her. She loved finding the eggs and thought the candy was the best ever. She said her favorite thing the Easter Bunny left though was her bubbles.
Brook is definately an animal lover and was so excited when Ginger had her baby. She wasn't able to go up right away because the weather has been so crappy and it was too muddy. But I think the wait was worth it. She told me I could go home cause she was gonna stay with grandpa and feed the baby calves. I'm glad she likes to be outdoors and loves to be with grandpa.
This last weekend we went to Pocatello to see Camron, Kayla and Lexi. Brook only has one cousing on the Wakefield side, so she was really excited to see baby Lexi. Brook loved playing with Lexi and had soo much fun. Brook thought it was pretty neat that she got to hold Lexi and she helped me feed Lex a bottle. She is going to be such a good helper when baby sis gets here. That night Dan and Casey were able to meet us and go for dinner. We didn't get to visit long cause we all needed to get home but maybe next time we can stay longer.
