The Wakefield Family: Birthday Girl

Brook turned 3 on October 13th. I can't believe how fast those years have gone by. Brook got to have 2 parties. Her dad was going to be working out of town on her birthday so we celebrated with him the weekend before at his parents house. He had been hunting that weekend and so we met up on Friday night to celebrate. Brook didn't feel so hot that weekend. She had a bladder infection and was running a fever and so at times she just looked like she was ready for bed.

The next morning Cole promised Brook a ride on Boone and she got to try ou her new chaps and spurs. She loved riding Boone, but was happy to be going home. She just wasn't feeling so great and wasn't her usual spunky self.

I had to laugh cause Brook kept saying her real party was going to be with her friends "cousins". She loved her birthday parties and got spoiled. So on the 13th when Brook woke up, we started the day with a "birthday donut" and a little singing. She loved it and couldn't stop giggling. Brook kept singing "Happy Birthday to Me, Happy Birthday to Me..."

You'll have to excuse the sleepy face, us Wakefield girls are "face sleepers" so it takes us a while to unpuff in the mornings. :)

We spent the rest of the day making her 2nd birhday cake and being with family. Brook's one request for her birthday was to "have" Cookie. So I talked to Grandpa Kevin and he brought Cookie down so the kids could have pony rides. Uncle Ryan also let us use Bodee's horse Duke for pony rides. ***Some of the cousins. I wasn't able to get all of them for a picture. Too much excitement guess.
