Sugar Baby!

Brooklyn will totally scream and yell if she sees any type of candy or sweets in hopes that you will give in and give her some. Grandma Smith always gives in to her squeaking and gives her what she wants. So, one night while I was busy wrapping presents, I came upstairs to find Grandma and Brooklyn whispering in the kitchen. This is the aftermath...

Christmas Card Drama

Lately it has been really hard to get a picture of Brook cause she is so interested in the camera. But, I decided to try and get some pictures for our Christmas card. It was hard for me not to laugh because she was being so dramatic. She had me and her Grandpa and Grandma Smith all trying to get her to smile and she was totally not having it. We decided to take a break and did more pictures later that day and finally got some good ones to use for the card. Hope I didn't miss anyone as I was rushing to get them out. If I did I am so sorry. Hope everyone has a Merry Christmas!!!

Mom's Birthday

This year for mom's birthday I made her a giant oreo cookie. It was still a cake ,but oh soo good!

Adult Table
This year we had Thanksgiving with my family and had so much fun. Brooklyn is loving the older cousins and trying to copy everything they do. Mom made such a yummy dinner and set the tables. There was a cute snowman table for the kids and a much more elegant table for the adults, set with my great grandmas china. Everything was amazing. Good fun and lots of fun. I love my family!!

Job Update

Last week our prayers were answered. Cole got a call from the apprenticeship and he was called back to work after being laid off. He started work in Salt Lake on Thursday and worked there again today. The company he is working for said he could be jumping around quite a bit, so we decided that Brook and I will stay with my parents in Grace and he'll move around until we know more. Boy am I grateful for that decision. He called on his lunch break and they are now sending him to Smithfield to work. Now he will be able to stay with us full time (YAY!) and drive the 45 minuts to work. We are so grateful for his job right now with the construction industry being so up and down. Well, that's the update for now. We'll let you know what's going on when he gets his next transfer.

What a Stinker!

We were in Salt Lake over the weekend for Cole's classes so we took Brooklyn trick or treating to our Aunt and Uncle's house. She was so funny walking around in her little costume, but every time we got the camera out she pulled some of the funniest faces. I had a hard time getting a picture of our little stinker smiling. Here are some of the pictures we did get.

Guess it's that time....

Cole came home the other night to tell me to get ready to move again. His job in Sinclair is getting shut down at the end of next week. So we're moving, again. We're not sure yet where Cole is getting sent to next, but we're ready for our next adventure. So stay tuned for an update, we'll let ya know as soon as we do!

Mmmmmm.....Birthday Cake

I was curious as to what Brook was going to do when she got to eat her very own cake without bibs and a high chair. She was so cute!! She started out so dainty, just kind of picking at the frosting and then she decided to really dig in. She ate with both of her hands and at times she even put her face right in the cake. It was so adorable. Brooklyn had a great birthday and loved all the help she had from all of her cousins. Thank you to everyone who made the time to come share Brooklyn's 1st Birthday with us!!!

Wonderful Year

I can't believe it has been a year ago that we brought home Brooklyn from the hospital. I remember getting up at night holding her and looking at her beautiful little face thinking she will stay this size forever. She is getting so grown up and amazes me with what she learns every day. She is not a quitter and will keep trying whatever task it is until she gets it right. When she was learning to crawl she tried for a couple of days. She crawled around like a little stink bug moving her front arms forward and hopping her little bum forward. And now my little stink bug is walking. She still crawls for speed, but she prefers to walk if she isn't in a hurry. Brooklyn is still jabbering and has gotten to where she mimics everything I say. Where did the time go? I love you Brooklyn!!

Hunting Season

Cole has been so excited for this hunting season. He has been watching hunting videos for weeks and was able to go hunting with his dad last week. He had such a great time and wished his schedule would allow for more hunting. Cole didn't bag the big buck this year but we were able to get some pictures of nice bucks on our evening drives here in Wyoming.

Grandparents

Every time all the family gets together it seems that grandpa turns into the kids jungle gym. Brooklyn loves going to grandpa and grandma's to see all of her cousins. She tries so hard to keep up with them. She crawled everywhere the kids went just trying to keep up. They all love grandpa and grandma so much. Thank you for being such wonderful parents and grandparents!!

Catch Up

For Cole's birthday we decided to take a last minute trip to Grace for the weekend. So the cake plans that I had were boggled. Instead, I got a hold of my mom who picked up the last cake at Broulims. It isn't a coming out cake, but my hubby's 30th birthday cake. I keep telling him there is no way I would have married such an old man. I hope you had a great birthday. I love you Babe!

Make a wish Sweetheart!!

That is supposed to be a 30 made out of the candles.

Rawlins, Wyoming

As promised I said I would get pictures of our "shoe box" for everyone to see. Right now Cole is working for NAES Power rebuilding a substation in Sinclair. It's about 6 miles from Rawlins. So far Rawlins has been a pretty interesting place to live. The closest shopping is about 2 hours any direction. So far we have ventured to Casper, Cheyenne, and Rock Springs in search of "supplies". The one thing that we both really like about Rawlins though is the wildlife. You can see deer wandering the streets and there are antelope everywhere. Not in town so much, but all along the freeway.

Our "pet" deer. This doe hangs out in our yard and we see her almost every day.

Cheyenne Frontier Days

We decided since we didn't know anything about the area around Rawlins that we would head to Cheyenne for the weekend and go to the rodeo. I have got to tell you this was the funnest rodeo I have ever been to. Between the Navy Leap Frogs (parachuters) and the constant changing of events and entertainment, you didn't have time to get bored. The rodeo was about 4 hours long, but you wouldn't have known it. It was soo much fun we are definitely going to go again.

Splish-Splash

A few days before Cole, Brook, and I loaded up for Rawlins, my family got together for a little rendezvous at the reservoir. I don't have a lot of pictures of Brooklyn because she slept almost the whole time we were there. Although, what little time she spent in the water she loved.

Megan giving Anson, Carter, and Cooper a little push. By the way, isn't she the cutest?!

Trying to relax but the boys kept sneaking up and splashing grandma.
